Transitional White Shaker Kitchen Renovation

Transitional White Shaker Kitchen Renovation

Client Challenge:

The original galley kitchen didn’t keep up with serious home cooking. Counter space was tight, appliances felt mismatched, and dry-goods storage was scattered. The clients wanted professional performance, better organization, and a layout that could handle meal prep for a crowd.

The Vision:

A bright, timeless kitchen with classic Shaker cabinetry, a hard-working pro range, and a wall of organized storage. Priorities included durable surfaces, strong task lighting, and clever features that add prep space without enlarging the footprint.

Our Solution:

Final Draft kept the efficient galley flow and rebuilt every zone for performance.

  • Cabinetry: Custom white Shaker with full-extension drawers and deep base organizers for pots, pans, and dinnerware.

  • Surfaces: Midnight, iridescent granite countertops with a matching full-height slab backsplash—easy to wipe, dramatic and durable.

  • Cooking: A 48″ pro-style gas range with griddle sits under a high-capacity stainless hood.

  • Sink & Water: Double-bowl undermount sink with dual faucets (prep + filtered) speeds up cooking and cleanup.

  • Storage Wall: Floor-to-ceiling pantry with a mix of roll-out shelves, a pull-out larder, and a wide plate drawer keeps everything visible and within reach.

  • Smart Prep: Slide-out butcher-block worktops create instant extra counter when needed, then disappear.

  • Flooring & Lighting: Large-format charcoal tile adds grip and visual calm; continuous recessed LEDs provide even, shadow-free light along both runs.

The Result:

A clean, organized kitchen that cooks like a restaurant and lives like a family hub. Surfaces are tough, storage is dialed, and the space now handles weeknight dinners and big holiday spreads with equal ease.
