Moody Coastal Powder Room & Hallway Storage Refresh

Client Challenge:

The main-floor powder room felt builder-basic and short on counter space, while the adjacent hall lacked closed storage for linens and daily essentials. The goal was to add character, improve lighting, and create a cohesive look between the bath and hall.

The Vision:

Create a compact, high-function space with a moody vanity moment, crisp white surfaces, and durable finishes. In the hall, add a built-in cabinet wall that hides clutter and ties into the home’s modern-coastal palette of soft whites, inky blues, and matte black accents.

Our Solution:

Final Draft paired a deep blue shaker vanity with streamlined black fixtures and a bright, hotel-clean countertop. Next to the bath, a custom floor-to-ceiling storage wall delivers drawers for small items and tall cabinets for bulk storage, keeping the circulation space calm and organized.

• Vanity: Painted shaker cabinet in oceanic blue with square black knobs and matching black hardware; full toe-kick for a furniture-like base.

• Surfaces: White quartz countertop with eased edge and an undermount rectangular sink for easy wipe-downs.

• Fixtures & Lighting: Single-hole matte-black faucet; oversized metal-framed mirror; three-light clear-glass vanity bar plus discreet integral downlights for even, flattering light.

• Storage: Hall built-in with tall uppers, deep drawers, and a small open niche—perfect for quick-grab items; powder room includes a compact drawer-and-door mix for daily use.

• Details: Matte-black towel bar, TP holder, and door hardware for a unified look; large-format warm-gray porcelain floor tile; patterned tile in the adjacent WC adds a subtle graphic note and personality.

The Result:

The powder room now feels tailored and elevated—bright at the mirror, moody at the vanity, and effortlessly tidy. The new hallway built-ins swallow everyday clutter, giving the entry to the powder room a gallery-clean feel that matches the home’s modern coastal vibe.
