Client Challenge:

This condo kitchen had good bones but felt short on prep space and closed-in. Corner storage was awkward, upper cabinets stopped the eye, and there wasn’t a comfortable place to gather while cooking.

The Vision:

Create a crisp, coastal-feeling kitchen with generous storage, durable worktops, and a social peninsula—pairing classic Shaker profiles with a modern two-tone palette: cloud-white uppers and rich slate-blue bases, grounded by warm wood-look floors.

Our Solution:

• Cabinetry: Full-height white Shaker uppers with slim rails and matte black hardware keep the walls light; deep slate-blue Shaker bases define the working zone and add contrast. Tall pantry storage flanks the fridge for everyday staples.

• Surfaces: Polished white quartz countertops with subtle veining wrap the perimeter and peninsula for a clean, low-maintenance work surface. A matching easy-wipe backsplash protects the walls behind the range and prep areas.

• Peninsula: A roomy L-shaped peninsula adds seating and a wide prep deck at the sink, with panelled faces to the living room side to read like fine furniture.

• Storage: Wide drawer bases for pots and dishes, a stack of utility drawers by the range, to-the-ceiling uppers, and a slim display niche for collected pieces—everything has a place and stays within reach.

• Appliances & Lighting: Stainless French-door refrigerator, slide-in range, and quiet dishwasher modernize performance. Layered lighting—recessed ceiling lights, clear-glass pendants over the peninsula, and under-cabinet task lighting—keeps worktops bright.

• Finishes: Matte black faucet and pulls tie the two-tone cabinetry together; durable, warm wood-look flooring adds comfort and continuity with adjoining spaces.

The Result:
