Downtown Two-Tone Condo Kitchen Renovation

Client Challenge:

This high-rise condo had postcard views but a cramped, dated kitchen. Short runs broke up workflow, the peninsula pinched circulation, and there was no generous landing zone for prep or entertaining. The refrigerator and wall-oven tower created a bottleneck, while mismatched finishes made the space feel busy instead of calm.

The Vision:

Create a clean, long-line kitchen that celebrates the view and keeps counters clear. Priorities: a waterfall island with induction cooking and seating for three, uninterrupted prep along the sink wall, concealed trash/recycling, brighter task lighting, and a warm two-tone palette—matte white above, natural wood below.

Our Solution:

• Cabinetry: Flat-panel matte white uppers to the ceiling pair with warm, wood-grain base drawers and a tall pantry/oven tower; a continuous open oak shelf keeps daily dishes at hand; slim black pulls keep lines crisp.

• Surfaces: Soft-veined white quartz on all counters with a waterfall edge wrapping the island; matching quartz slab backsplash at the wet zone for a seamless, easy-clean look.

• Island: Oversized, furniture-like island centers the room with an integrated induction cooktop and ceiling-mounted hood, casual seating for three, deep drawers on both sides, and a built-in wine/beverage fridge at the end panel.

• Storage: Full-height pantry beside the double wall ovens, wide drawer bases throughout, concealed bins in the island, and dedicated small-appliance parking to keep worktops clear.

• Appliances & Lighting: Bottom-freezer stainless fridge, stacked wall ovens, induction cooktop on the island, undermount sink with matte-black faucet, quiet canopy hood, under-cabinet LED task lighting, and recessed ceiling lights for bright, even illumination.

• Finishes: Wide-plank light oak floors ground the space; the white/wood mix and black accents deliver a warm, modern, Scandinavian-leaning palette that lets the sunset views shine.

The Result:

The kitchen now reads as two calm, parallel lines anchored by a sculptural waterfall island. Prep is faster on the uninterrupted sink run, entertaining happens naturally around the island seating, and the open shelf offers curated display without stealing workspace. Clean detailing and layered lighting make the condo feel bigger, brighter, and effortlessly modern.
