Langley Two-Tone Modern Kitchen Renovation

Client Challenge:

The homeowners in Langley loved to cook and host but were limited by a tight, dated kitchen with little prep space and inconsistent storage. Countertops collected clutter, the refrigerator zone bottlenecked traffic, and the finishes didn’t reflect the clean, contemporary aesthetic they wanted.

The Vision:

Create a light, calm, and clutter-free kitchen with a sophisticated two-tone palette. Priorities included a hardworking peninsula for prep and casual dining, seamless quartz surfaces, a full-height pantry wall, and a discreet coffee/appliance zone—all wrapped in minimal, elevated detailing.

Our Solution:

Final Draft re-planned the L-shaped kitchen to improve flow and layered in custom modern millwork.

• Cabinetry: Flat-panel doors in a soft mist grey above and a muted sea-slate below deliver a fresh two-tone look. Slim black pulls and push-latch panels keep lines crisp.

• Surfaces: White quartz counters continue up the wall as a full-height veined backsplash for an easy-clean, seamless finish.

• Peninsula: A waterfall-edge quartz peninsula adds generous prep area, integrated sink, and everyday seating while anchoring the room.

• Storage: A tall pantry wall flanks the refrigerator for bulk goods and small appliances; deep drawer bases replace hard-to-reach lowers. A lift-up appliance garage/display niche with warm wood interior and lighting turns the coffee station into a feature.

• Appliances & Lighting: Induction cooktop with sleek wall hood, French-door refrigerator, under-cabinet LEDs, and discreet ceiling cans provide bright, even light.

• Finishes: Wide-plank engineered hardwood warms the modern envelope and ties the kitchen to adjacent living spaces.

The Result:

The kitchen now feels open, organized, and undeniably modern. Daily tasks are faster thanks to drawers and the pantry wall, the waterfall peninsula doubles as a social hub, and the wood-lined niche adds a touch of hospitality. Guests notice the calm palette and seamless details the moment they walk in.
