Classic White Mudroom Built-In

Client Challenge:

The back entry was a constant drop zone—coats on chairs, shoes underfoot, and a cordless vacuum always visible. There was nowhere to sit and tie boots, and no closed storage for cleaning tools and seasonal gear.

The Vision:

Create a bright, cottage-inspired mudroom that feels welcoming yet works hard every day. Must-haves: a comfortable bench, easy-access hooks, deep drawers for hats and gloves, and a hidden, charging home for the cordless vacuum.

Our Solution:

Final Draft designed a tailored built-in framed by two tall cabinets and finished in a durable painted white.

• Architecture & Finish: Shaker cabinetry with classic crown moulding and a vertical beadboard back panel for texture and charm.

• Seating & Storage: A cushioned bench with a hardwood accent rail sits over two full-extension drawers sized for footwear and winter accessories.

• Daily Drop Zone: A row of satin-nickel hooks catches coats and bags the moment you walk in.

• Dedicated Cleaning Niche: The right tower conceals the cordless vacuum in a lighted cabinet with a charging outlet—out of sight, always ready.

• Flooring: Tumbled stone set in a brick pattern stands up to wet boots and pets.

The Result:

Clutter is under control and the entry feels calm. There’s a place to sit, a place to hang, and a discreet spot for the vacuum—so the space stays tidy without effort.
